Your Thyroid Gland Is Important

The thyroid, a butterfly-shaped gland in your neck just above the collarbone, is crucial for regulating your body’s overall metabolic rate. It releases a steady stream of hormones into the bloodstream to maintain various body functions.

Conditions of the Thyroid

When the thyroid gland malfunctions, it can impact your metabolic system, leading to various symptoms such as restlessness, fatigue, weight loss, or weight gain. Common thyroid-related conditions include:

  • Kidney Problems
  • Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes
  • Hyperthyroidism
  • Hypothyroidism
  • Testosterone Imbalance
  • Obesity
  • Graves’ Disease
  • Cancer
  • Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis
  • Osteoporosis

Women are more likely to experience thyroid problems, especially after pregnancy and menopause.
